HOW TO HELP REFORM EDUCATION

June 3rd, 2009 · Ideas and Suggestions

YES WE CAN!!!

The concept of school reform is overwhelmingly daunting. So much is said, and so much is done…yet it seems as if we are getting nowhere.

Use this website to post messages and connect with others. For your own page on this site, or separate Wordpress site, contact the webmaster at urbanpubedreform@gmail.com. For example:

http://edsforhealthcarereform.wordpress.com/

was a site developed from the Healthcare Reform Push page.

I. ORGANIZE around one of these issues:

Read other’s blog posts and offer your own experienced advice.

II. ACT:

  • Organize reform in your community via President Obama’s Organizing for America website. Do you want volunteers for a school event? You can organize it there, via its tremendous built-in organizing structure, including creating events in your area, contacting people who live close to you, and finding like-minded activists. Sign up in an education group, and use the Events feature to call a meeting in your community. Make sure your meeting does not get bogged down in petty issues or gossiping, which can quickly end any accomplishments you are trying to achieve. Keep your eye on the prize!
